Your contributions
You play an important role in the daily management of cultivation and ensure that our crops can grow under the best conditions. Together with your colleagues, you monitor the quality of the crop and ensure that the work in the field is well coordinated:
- You will regularly walk through the crop and assess the state of the crop, such as growth, health, watering, nutrition and climate;
- Together with the team, you will prepare the daily crop planning and ensure that work in the field runs smoothly;
- You monitor optimal growing conditions by controlling water, nutrition and climate and making adjustments where necessary;
- You identify problems early, such as diseases, pests, nutritional deficiencies or technical failures, and take immediate action;
- You think actively about improvements in cultivation methods, new varieties and innovations in technology and crop protection;
- You will work closely with the harvesting team to ensure that cultivation and planning are well aligned;
- You keep an eye on the technical installations around cultivation, water and climate, and make quick adjustments when breakdowns occur.
Your profile
For this position, we are looking for someone who brings the following:
- An education in horticulture, arable farming or cultivation (mbo or hbo);
- A full-time availability;
- Experience in (soft) fruit growing, or a strong interest in developing further in this field;
- An eye for detail and a natural curiosity for growth, technology and innovation;
- You can work well together and communicate easily with colleagues of different nationalities;
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English;
- You take responsibility, are practical, work accurately and enjoy taking initiative;
- In cultivation, we have seasonal peaks: during these periods you are flexibly deployable.
