Your contributions

In this position, you play an important role in monitoring and improving quality, safety, the environment and working conditions. You do not have to know everything; more important is that you are eager to learn, work accurately and like to organise things well. As a QESH employee, you ensure that quality, safety and environmental issues are well organised and safeguarded. You support colleagues, monitor processes and actively contribute to improvements.

Your duties will include:

• Controlling and monitoring product quality;
• Handling complaints and investigating anomalies in processes;
• Maintain and further develop the quality management system;
• Supporting certifications and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and FSC;
• Preparing and supervising internal and external audits;
• Identifying areas for improvement in quality, safety and the environment;
• Contributing to a safe and pleasant working environment for all employees;
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and translating them to the organisation;
• Supporting sustainability goals and environmental issues.

Work will be spread over several days a week. In addition, you will have an extensive familiarisation period, as the current officer will still be present for the next few months and can quietly transfer his or her knowledge. This will give you plenty of room to get to know the organisation, processes and systems well.

Your profile

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• You are available for a part-time position of 20 hours a week, with flexible distribution of hours over several working days;
• You possess HBO working and thinking level;
• Experience in a similar position is a plus but not a requirement;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• You have knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• You have an affinity with quality, safety, environment and laws and regulations. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is a plus;
• You are communicatively strong, analytical, solution-oriented, accurate and structured;
• You work independently, function well in a team and are eager to learn, with the ambition to develop further within the field.

Because the current QESH manager will remain actively involved in the coming period, you will receive plenty of guidance and knowledge transfer. This will allow you to grow step by step in the position and develop yourself into a solid partner in the field of quality, safety, environment and health.
