Your contributions

As Finance Manager Accounting, you are responsible for managing the Finance Accounting team (3 fte) and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your challenge lies in continuously improving processes and efficiency to guarantee the financial health and integrity of the organisation. Together with your team, you ensure efficient processes and solid financial administrations and reports. You motivate, steer and coach, but when it comes down to it, you work just as hard to keep things running smoothly.

  • You ensure the quality of the financial administrations for all business units, including the general ledger and sub-administrations (including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and project accounts);
  • You will be responsible for the entire financial statements process, from preparing the consolidation statement to the draft financial statements;
  • You will ensure timely periodic closures (monthly, quarterly and annual) and associated financial management reports and KPIs;
  • You have a keen eye for compliance with financial and tax laws and regulations. You implement and monitor the internal control mechanism to ensure the accuracy of financial data;
  • You monitor the liquidity position, revenue and cost developments and realised figures against budgets;
  • You will set up, maintain and optimise the Tax Control Framework so that tax risks are known and manageable and tax returns (VAT, payroll taxes, corporate income tax) are carried out correctly;
  • You will liaise with accountants, banks, tax specialists, insurers, legal advisers and the Inland Revenue;
  • You will monitor and professionalise the financial calendar;
  • In automation projects for Finance, you are the process owner.

Your position

Leadership is an important aspect of the position. You will manage one Financial Accountant and two Financial Administration staff and ensure the division of work. As Financial Manager, you will be the right-hand man of the Finance Director. You will develop a departmental plan, based on the financial policy, and translate it into operational activities for your team.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

  • A completed college education in a financial or business administration discipline, such as Accountancy;
  • Minimum 7 years' experience within accountancy, including several years as an inspiring, results-oriented manager/senior;
  • You are a leader who, when necessary, rolls up your own sleeves to achieve results together with the team;
  • You are available for preferably 40 hours a week, but we are also open to candidates who want to work 36 hours;
  • Experience in financial consolidation of multiple entities;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, setting up Power BI dashboards and/or experience within an organisation with projects and service & maintenance as core business? Then you have an edge.
