Your contributions

As Working Foreman, you will be responsible for the smooth running of production in your departments. You manage a team of about 10 machine operators and welders on a daily basis, and actively participate yourself when necessary. The following tasks also fall within your remit:

• Managing and supervising operators and welders in the workshop;
• Organising and distributing daily tasks;
• Assisting with welding or machine settings myself where necessary;
• Checking products for overall quality;
• Ensuring a safe and tidy working environment;
• Consult with work preparation, production planner and fellow foremen;
• Identify areas for improvement in processes and help think about optimisation.

Your profile

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment with welding and/or metalworking;
• Leadership qualities and a team-oriented attitude;
• Technical understanding and skill in reading drawings;
• Experience with MIG/MAG welding is a strong plus;
• VCA-VOL certificate (or willing to obtain it at short notice);
• Knowledge of production work in a steel processing company is a plus.
