Your contributions

For a dynamic transport company with approximately 185 employees at various locations, we are looking for a link between IT and operations. Not a standard service desk function where basic knowledge of Windows and Office is sufficient, but rather you dive into processes, think along with the business and translate wishes from the operation into concrete IT solutions.

You shadow colleagues from different departments, analyse how systems can be used smarter and ensure that new ways of working really work in practice. From TMS and WMS processes to user guidance and optimisation: you are the one who keeps an overview and takes people along with you in change.
Together with the IT Manager, you will ensure that IT not only supports, but actually contributes to a more efficient organisation.

Your duties:

  • You will be the bridge between IT and operations;
  • You translate requirements and challenges from the business into practical IT solutions;
  • You actively think about processes, working methods and optimisations;
  • You will dive into systems such as TMS and WMS and ensure their optimal use;
  • You guide colleagues on new systems and ways of working;
  • You will create manuals and provide training for users;
  • You monitor developments within IT and logistics and translate them into opportunities for the organisation;
  • You analyse problems, think solution-oriented and ensure good aftercare;
  • You easily switch between different departments and levels within the organisation;
  • You also jump in outside regular working hours when needed - you think in the best interests of the organisation.

Your profile

The most important thing in this position is an affinity with IT and a desire to understand business processes.

  • You have at least a mbo level 4 diploma;
  • Experience with TMS and/or WMS systems is a plus;
  • You preferably have experience within transport, logistics or operations;
  • You are curious, analytical and always think in terms of improvements;
  • You enjoy guiding colleagues and explaining things clearly;
  • You are committed, flexible and take responsibility;
  • You are communicatively strong and know how to get people on board with changes;
  • You love picking problems and getting to the bottom of them;
  • You are available full-time or willing to work full-time.

Your workplace

Our client is part of an international logistics service provider in both Transport and Logistics. They are based in Weert and therefore easily accessible from Roermond, Echt, Valkenswaard, border area Belgium and Helmond.

Do you want to be the connecting factor between IT and operations within an organisation where no day is the same? Then we would like to meet you.
