Logistics Officer
Logistics, Warehouse
Maarheeze
Day service
Do you enjoy working outdoors and do you like operating large, heavy machinery? For this role, we’re looking for a Logistics Assistant / Forklift Operator who feels at home working outdoors and isn’t put off by working in all weathers. You won’t be working in a standard warehouse, but on a large outdoor site where you’ll be moving heavy masts and structures using forklift trucks, overhead cranes and tower cranes. Sound interesting? Then read on!
Your reward
As well as a varied and responsible role within a stable, international company, you can look forward to:
- A gross monthly salary of €3,470;
- 40 days off for full-time employment (27 holidays + 13 ADV days);
- Good fringe benefits and reimbursement of travel expenses in accordance with the CAO Metalektro;
- A permanent job with a guaranteed number of hours on day shifts;
- Working at a healthy and informal company with a pleasant working atmosphere.
Your contributions
As a Logistics Assistant / Forklift Operator, you are a key link in the logistics process. You’ll mainly be working outdoors, in all weathers. From freezing cold, snow and rain to hot summer days with the sun beating down on your head: you actually enjoy being out and about. Your duties will include:
- Sorting and arranging pipe materials and masts in the outdoor area;
- Loading and unloading lorries and trailers using a forklift truck and cranes;
- Moving large and heavy masts and structures;
- Positioning the forklift safely beneath heavy masts and structures, whilst taking into account the correct balance and load;
- Frequently getting on and off the forklift truck and walking up and down trailers;
- Grouping masts and structures;
- Checking incoming goods and the accompanying documents;
- Counting stock, making adjustments and identifying discrepancies;
- Carrying out visual quality checks on masts;
- Removing masts in consultation with the team leader;
- Advising the procurement department on the required raw materials;
- Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues and the logistics team leader.
You’ll have the opportunity to really learn the trade. So it’s about more than just moving pallets: you’ll learn to work with large and heavy materials and continue to develop your skills within the logistics sector. Are you interested in crane operation and can you demonstrate that you’re suited to it? If so, you may be eligible for in-house training in this area.
Your profile
For this role, we’re looking for someone who is physically fit and enjoys being active. You’re not put off by bad weather and actually enjoy spending a large part of the day working outdoors. You’ll also need:
- Minimum lbo+/mbo working and thinking level;
- A valid forklift certificate;
- Full-time availability;
- Good command of the Dutch language;
- An independent and responsible approach to work;
- You work with precision and have a keen eye for safety and quality;
- You are physically capable of regularly getting in and out of the forklift truck, walking on and off trailers, and bundling materials;
- You’re keen to learn new tasks, such as operating a crane;
- You enjoy working with colleagues, but you are also able to work independently.
Important: this is specifically an outdoor role. You will be working outdoors all year round, in a variety of weather conditions. It is also a physically demanding role in which you will be moving around a lot and handling large, heavy items.
