Your contributions

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the distribution organisation. You will directly manage the Planning and Customer Service departments and will also have overall responsibility for the operational management of a large team of drivers.

You spend a lot of time on the shop floor, keeping an eye on operations and constantly focusing on quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Thanks to your coaching-style leadership, you know how to motivate staff and make processes a little better every day. Your duties include:

• Organising and coordinating day-to-day distribution activities;
• The optimal deployment of staff, drivers and equipment;
• Managing the Planning and Customer Service departments;
• Monitoring KPIs, service levels and operational performance;
• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing structural process improvements;
• Ensuring an efficient, customer-focused and high-quality service;
• Working closely with various internal departments to further develop the organisation;
• Report to senior management on the progress and results of the operation.

Your profile

You are a decisive manager who remains calm when the pressure mounts. You switch effortlessly between staff, customers and operational challenges, and know how to get people on board with change. You also have:

• A completed MBO+ or HBO qualification, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain;
• Several years’ managerial experience in transport, distribution or logistics;
• Strong analytical skills and a process-oriented approach;
• Experience in managing based on KPIs and continuous improvement;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• A coaching, results-oriented and decisive approach to work;
• A hands-on approach;
• Ideally, you should live in the Weert area.
