Supply Planner

€ 3000 - € 4000

Weert
Full-time, Part-time
Office hours

Do figures, stock levels and working out the ins and outs of supply and demand give you a real buzz? Do you see it as a challenge to ensure that the right products are available at the right time? If so, we’ve got a great challenge for you!

You constantly monitor what comes in, what goes out, what is expected and where potential bottlenecks may arise. You analyse data, identify trends and translate these into concrete actions. This makes you a key link in the supply chain of MBP Packaging and the SME customers it supplies.

For this position, you will be offered a contract directly with our client! Apply via BaanHuis and your CV will be at the top of the pile.

Your reward

In this role, you can expect:

  • A competitive salary of between €3,000.00 and €4,000.00 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on knowledge and experience;
  • 26 days’ holiday, to be taken as you wish;
  • A good pension scheme;
  • A travel allowance;
  • No compulsory closure of businesses;
  • Travel allowance;
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 17.00;
  • After your induction period, the opportunity to work from home one day a week;
  • A permanent working relationship with an account manager;
  • Plenty of scope to develop yourself and learn new things;
  • Working within a stable organisation with a loyal customer base;
  • Fun activities organised by the active staff association.

Your contributions

As a Supply Planner, you are responsible for maintaining an optimal stock balance. You ensure that products are available when customers need them, without holding unnecessary stock.
You deal with data, analyses and stock on a daily basis.
Your duties will include:

  • Analysing demand, supply and historical sales data;
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying discrepancies;
  • Determining when and how many products need to be purchased;
  • Preventing both stock shortages and unnecessary surpluses;
  • Drawing up and adjusting stock and supply plans;
  • Identifying trends and patterns in stock and sales;
  • Identifying potential bottlenecks before they actually become problems;
  • Independently determine what actions are needed to maintain optimal stock levels;
  • Consulting with colleagues from Purchasing, Sales and other relevant departments;
  • Maintaining contact with suppliers where necessary for planning purposes;
  • Working with ERP, stock management and planning systems;
  • Carrying out analyses and producing reports, and translating these into concrete improvements;
  • Contributing ideas on how to organise stock processes more intelligently and efficiently.

So you’re not the one who schedules the lorries. Your focus is on what’s needed, when it’s needed and how much is needed. You look ahead, analyse what’s happening and ensure that MBP Packaging can continue to supply its customers at the right time. This role is also known as a Material Planner, Stock Planner or Inventory Manager. What do they all have in common? Inventory management is key.

You will work independently and be the sole Supply Planner in your field. At the same time, you certainly won’t be on your own: you will be part of the Purchasing department, where you will work alongside a team of around seven colleagues.

Your profile

For this role, it is important that you understand how logistics and the supply chain work. Experience as a Supply Planner is an advantage, but we consider a good basic understanding of logistics and stock management to be more important.
We are looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
  • A degree or background in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a similar field;
  • Experience in logistics or the supply chain;
  • Understands how stock, demand, supply and delivery times are interrelated;
  • He is good with figures and analysis;
  • Enjoys working with data and drawing conclusions from it;
  • Can quickly spot connections and think ahead effectively;
  • Is able to work independently and is not afraid to take responsibility;
  • Good at setting priorities;
  • Takes a proactive approach rather than waiting for a problem to resolve itself;
  • Has strong communication skills and liaises easily with different departments;
  • Good command of Dutch and English;
  • is available for 40 hours a week.

Experience with an ERP system, planning software or stock management system would be an advantage.
A specific degree in Supply Chain Management is not a strict requirement, but demonstrable knowledge and experience in logistics and supply chain management are. You need to understand what happens within the supply chain and why stock management is so important.
