Your contributions

You will be working within a stable and modern production environment in Roermond. You will be responsible for the ‘Discharge’ logistics department, where finished products are stored and loaded. In this role, you will manage a team of 15 to 20 employees on a daily basis and work closely with the 1st Logistics Staff and the All-round Logistics Manager.

As Logistics Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the logistics processes in the Disposal department. You ensure that the goods produced are stored, processed and shipped correctly. You are a visible presence on the shop floor and know how to bring your team along with changes and improvements in a positive way.
Your duties will include:

• Managing, coaching and supervising 15 to 18 employees on a daily basis;
• Working closely with 1st Logistics Staff within the shift;
• Monitoring staff planning and task allocation;
• Ensure order, cleanliness and structure in the department;
• Oversee quality, safety and logistics processes;
• Inventory management and control of logistics flows;
• Liaise with internal departments such as production and supply chain;
• Liaise with external carriers and drivers coming to load/unload;
• Identify areas for improvement and help think about optimisations;
• Make adjustments where necessary to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The logistics department consists of two different departments. You are responsible for the Disposal department. Here, you work together with employees who work 2 shifts, while you yourself work day shifts. You will work in a flexible day shift schedule. You start between 07:00 / 07:30 and work until 16:00 / 16:30. You will work under the supervision of an All-round Logistics Manager and will have plenty of opportunity to contribute to improvements within the organisation. Your profile

For this position, we are looking for a decisive and coaching leader who stands firmly in his or her shoes.In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:

• You have MBO+ working and thinking level, preferably in logistics;
• You have experience within a logistics or industrial environment;
• You have experience in a managerial position;
• You have knowledge of logistics processes and transport planning;
• You have experience with systems such as SAP and MS Office / Excel;
• You hold a forklift certificate and/or VCA or are willing to obtain them;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language;
• German and/or English is nice.
