Your reward

A permanent job with a top company in the food industry. And that's not all:

  • An excellent starting salary (you will be classified in scale 9 of CAO Bakery): €3,144.36 to €4,649.90 gross per month;
  • Possible bonuses if you work overtime/irregular hours;
  • A stable working week of 38 hours per week in a fixed schedule;
  • Scope for learning and advancement through training;
  • A permanent job;
  • Overtime paid or time-for-time;
  • A nice working atmosphere where sociability and teamwork are paramount;
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre;
  • Always free on public holidays;
  • Discounts on the many home-made delicious cakes and... free cake in the canteen every day!

Your contributions

In this role, you will work closely with the QA Manager. You will support the development, maintenance and improvement of our quality and cleaning systems and ensure that everyone in the company is aware of the importance of quality and food safety. You combine theoretical knowledge with a practical approach: you are both in the office working on systems and procedures and on the shop floor where it really happens. You will help prepare audits, assist in root cause analyses and ensure that improvement measures yield real results.

In this multifaceted role, you will deal with such things as:

  • Assist in building, reviewing and implementing the quality system (manual, procedures, work instructions);
  • Developing and improving the cleaning system and hygiene procedures;
  • Preparing and supervising audits (internal, external, customer and GFSI - such as BRC and IFS);
  • Performing root cause analyses and following up on corrective and preventive actions;
  • Promoting a strong food safety culture by training, motivating and raising awareness among employees;
  • Managing QA documentation and reporting quality data to the QA Manager;
  • Providing training to operators on hygiene, cleaning and quality awareness;
  • Be present on the shop floor to monitor, advise and implement improvements;
  • Thinking along on process optimisations and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who fits the following profile well:

  • You already have some experience in quality or food safety, for example in a QA or QC position;
  • You have an MBO or HBO degree, preferably in food or food technology;
  • You are available full-time;
  • You enjoy working with colleagues on the shop floor and communicate easily in Dutch.

  • To fulfil this role, you will naturally have an affinity with hygiene, cleaning or process improvement. Should you also have HACCP, BRC, IFS or ISO 22000 knowledge, that would be a nice bonus, but this is not a must.
  • Your workplace

    You will join a family business with pride and ambition - European market leader. In Brunssum and the company's other locations, some 5,000 enthusiastic colleagues spread over 12 countries work daily on the tastiest pastries sold throughout Europe. The client in Brunssum is easily accessible from the border area of Germany, Maastricht, Sittard, Landgraaf, Kerkrade, Heerlen, Geleen, Born etc.

    Ready to make your mark on quality?
    Apply today and who knows, you might soon taste not only our cakes, but also the atmosphere of your new job!
