Your contributions

You are working within a transport organisation with various locations. For this logistics location in Weert, we are looking for a Team Leader Logistics / Location Coordinator who can manage the location from A to Z and make adjustments where necessary. Together with the logistics team (consisting of 1 order processor in the office and 3 to 4 all-round logistics employees on the floor), you will ensure quality and compliance with procedures. You will work for 60% in the office, but the pedometer will also make quite a few metres in the logistics hall! 

You will be working on the following tasks:

  • You will be the point of contact for our client's customers for answering questions, adequately and promptly handling complaints and resolving problems;
  • Control work incoming and outgoing goods and supervise (forklift) drivers coming to load or unload;
  • Point of contact for the logistics team and adjusts -where necessary-; 
  • Perform stock counts and report on stock and all resulting (administrative) work; 
  • Preparation and checking of freight documents; 
  • Order entry for various customers (when your fellow order processor is not present); 
  • Registration of freights with carriers; 
  • Be responsible for order and cleanliness in the logistics hall and outside area; 
  • Willingness to help pick an order in the department store where necessary.

The basic working hours for this position are Monday to Friday: 8am to 4.30pm to 4.30pm to 5pm. 

Your profile

In this role, you will have a lot of freedom to undertake and organise things yourself, so we also expect you to enjoy it and be able to take that responsibility! Furthermore, we preferably ask: 

  • Logistics working and thinking level MBO level 3/4; 
  • Relevant work experience in a logistics function; 
  • Knowledge of Warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office; 
  • A valid forklift certificate or at least sufficient experience; 
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English. 
  • Flexible attitude in both working hours and also taking over work from colleagues on the floor;
