Your contributions

You are responsible for ensuring an optimal procurement strategy and know how to strike the right balance between products, price and suppliers. With your commercial and results-oriented approach, you continuously monitor the value for money and are committed to achieving the highest possible net margin within the parameters of the procurement process. By identifying opportunities and procuring smartly, you make a direct contribution to the operating profit. You will also be responsible for:

• Managing supplier contracts at item level and monitoring progress against the KPIs set out in the annual plan;
• Maintaining active contact with suppliers and building long-term partnerships;
• Conducting a global search for new suppliers and establishing long-term partnerships, both internally and externally;
• Monitoring and assessing suppliers’ performance and making adjustments where necessary;
• Working closely with Sales and Operations and thoroughly identifying the organisation’s needs.

Your profile

As a Buyer for our client, you are a driven and enterprising professional. You recognise opportunities to optimise margins, know how to select the right suppliers and actively build strong partnerships. In addition, you possess the following:

• Experience as a buyer at operational and tactical level;
• HBO+ level of working and thinking;
• A Nevi certificate is an advantage;
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Strong negotiation skills and, preferably, a background in business;
• You are focused on building sustainable, long-term relationships and enjoy working with others.

Our client specialises in sustainable and innovative product and material solutions, including associated logistics services. They support clients in optimising and making their material and distribution processes more sustainable.
The work is carried out with a strong focus on sustainability, efficiency and supply chain optimisation, with both product and logistics factored into the solutions.

Our client is based in Weert and is therefore easily accessible from Eindhoven, Helmond, Roermond and Echt.
